My Friend Does Weddings — We Bring Good People

We’re Anthony and Lindsey.

We plan weddings, and we run them on the day. We’re based on Oʻahu and we travel.

We met working at Loulu Palm, a wedding venue on the North Shore. Anthony ran the property there for two years. We both ended up at Ke Nui Kitchen after that, and put on a few hundred events together in about a year before leaving to start this.

Between us we have worked every vendor team at a wedding except photo. Equipment, lighting, catering, bar, DJ, coordination. We know what your day looks like from inside each of those jobs, and we know which of those people are worth calling back.

That is the whole pitch. When someone asks a friend who to call, we would like to be the answer.

Hiring the crew instead

Two of our four services are usually bought by a venue or a caterer rather than by a couple. Both are priced against the call sheet, so tell us the date, the headcount you are working to, and the service style.

Catering execution

Depends on the job

We take the front of house. Our equipment and our service staff, running plated, family style, or a coursed meal with whatever food you have chosen. We work with your food team and make sure it lands on time and comes out right.

The visionary

Two years running the property at Loulu Palm, which mostly meant finding ways to make it more beautiful for the couples getting married on it. Then catering at Ke Nui Kitchen.

Freelance since, across equipment, lighting, coordination, DJ, catering, and bar. He is the one who sees the problem a few hours before it happens, and has usually already solved it.

Lindsey

The personality

Started at Ke Nui Kitchen as a catering lead. Production manager within a few months, staffing and running events island wide: surf contest dinners, weddings, and the big winter parties.

Type A, front-facing, and the reason a timeline holds when the day moves. She prioritizes fast and stays calm doing it.

Between us: six years in events and entire careers before that in customer service, food service, and hotel hospitality. The company is built on the three things we actually care about: amiability, genuineness, and empathy.

Loulu Palm, Ke Nui Kitchen, the North Shore: that is where we learned this, and it is why we can tell you what the trades will do to your tent in October. We take that everywhere we go, and we would like to go.

The work is not new. The name is. We have run hundreds of events for other people’s companies and none yet under our own, which means we have no photographs of our own weddings to show you.
